THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL ACTION FILM FESTIVAL SALON WEBSITE

The ISAFF Salon Venue

The International Social Action Film Festival invites you to register and host a Salon Venue in your home or organization and become part of a worldwide movement to bring recognition to local Social Action Organizations operating around the world. As an official Salon Venue, you will receive access to a 2 DVD set representing two approximately 2-hour segments of local and international films that have screened at official ISAFF venue sites on five continents around the globe. If you are interested, we ask you to visit our web site at www.isaff.org and register as a host.

The donation for individuals hosting this event is $25.00 handling and shipping fees for the 2 DVDs (total $25.00) US. The donation for Non-Profit Organizations hosting the event is $35.00 US for handling and shipping. No admission may be charged for these screenings and all DVDs must be returned after screening in the enclosed self-addressed stamped envelop. Donations for may be accepted by approved 501c3 and NGO organizations.

Prior to your gathering, we will provide you with our 2 DVD set and/or an access code to screen the films from our online provider (sufficient bandwidth required), together with discussion questions for your guests to engage in a dialogue about social action in your community. In advance of that, we will send you a branded email invitation to send to your friends and colleagues to attend your Salon. If you’re interested in turning this event into a fundraiser for local social action organizations in your neighborhood, contact Rschultz@isaff.org for the appropriate registration documentation. This is an opportunity to provide your friends and neighbors with an engaging and relevant evening of viewing, discussion, and fun. We hope you can join us.

Welcome to the International Social Action Film Festival Venues and Salon

Welcome to our new International Social Action Film Festival interactive site. We are eager to hear from any and all who have attended one of our venues, or who might be interested in hosting either a regular or Salon venue. If you are interested in registering to host a Salon venue you can do so at our web site:.

We are also scheduling opportunities for social action organizations and universities interested in hosting a Salon Venues to have our founder and executive director, Ron Schultz, speak and screen the films at your event. If you are interested in the details regarding making this arrangement, you can contact Ron directly at rschultz@isaff.org.

What you will find on this site are opportunities to join groups composed of social action organizations with similar interests and needs as well as connect with filmmakers who might be interested in turning your organization's story into a compelling video narrative. It will also be a place for filmmakers to share their stories about working with social action organizations and the challenges and successes that go along with those endeavors.

We want this to be a place for lively and vital discussion. As well as a location where the latest news on our film festival venues and salons can be found. Our first virtual world festival salon will be in Second Life on June 5th, 2009. Please see events for more information. Thank you.

Welcome. We look forward to your engaged involvement.
